Town that has always been dedicated to slate working, a story passed down through the centuries, strongly embraced to the territory and to religious faith

On a flat section of the Lavagna river course, around the old bridge of the Fieschi, just a few kilometres from the sea of the Tigullio, you’ll discover a centre of extremely old origins devoted to work and to religious faith. Here slate has always been mined and worked. Look for its historical value and ties with the territory by visiting the old factory, a late 19th century industrial structure, now an exhibition space. Then relive important moments of spiritual gathering in the sanctuary of Madonna dei Miracoli, right in the town centre, destination for pilgrimages by the descendants of emigrants. A cult that dates back to 1537 tied to a miraculous flowering and that still now attracts many believers.
