The beaches and the promenade, the old village and the feasts: a holiday not to be missed, like a summer tan

From dawn to sunset San Bartolomeo al Mare is sunlit. Its position is enchanting and its beaches, together with Diano Marina, constitute the famous Golfo Dianese: a rich tourist offer, modern bathing establishments, Blue Flag sea and restful walks. The right place to enjoy a calm holiday, also taking advantage of the “Bartolo Bus”, the free shuttle that will allow you to forget about your car.

San Bartolomeo is liveable for a sea holiday in the sign of relaxation and fun. Restaurants, bars, shops of every kind, typical workshops and modern hotels. Its sea promenade is long and is sunny until the evening. Popular for family tourism, it still preserves parts of its quaint and compact historical nucleus of medieval origin.

To enjoy the silence and calm of old San Bartolomeo, it is worth visiting the Sanctuary of the Madonna of the Oak, in the village of the same name. A beautiful late medieval complex. The façade is in neoclassical style. In February in the area of the Sanctuary every year there is the “Oak Fair”, one of the oldest in Western Liguria. Also in this area, some archaeological excavations have brought important vestiges of the Roman epoch to light. Another part of the historical soul of the village can be discovered around the San Bartolomeo parish church, whose oldest nucleus goes back to the 13th century.
