Embraced by the mountains, with green carpets in summer and snow mantles in winter

Midway along the Carpasina valley, decorated by meadows and embellished by rocky peaks is a picturesque, intimate village. Walk under its small porticoes, amidst fountains, flowered plazas, the ancient bakery, roofs of slate “ciappe” tiles and bas-reliefs carved into the doors of the noble palazzos. It’s just like a fairy-tale village or a nativity crib. Just outside the village, amongst woods and beehives, the transhumance track rises towards mount Moro (1184 m asl) then descends to the Orrido delle Trunette, where the water has unusual reflections caused by the plant life that filters the sun’s rays. Here, trekking has a really magical flavour.
