A landscape that still preserves the traces of ancient country traditions. To be discovered through wonderful horse riding or mountain biking, along the paths or at the table

Ancient rural village in the upper Vara valley, in the hinterland between Sestri Levante and Levanto. Plunge into the heart of a large woody landscape, between chestnut trees and alder trees, spotted with scattered villages that preserved their original character. Discover modern farms, farm holidays and ancient evidence of the peasant culture, such as the many well preserved water mills that are, for the most part, still working. It houses the archaeological site of Lagorara Valley. There are other stunning historic sites, the “Casoni della Pietra” where shepherds and animals once used to live and the “grotte delle streghe” (Caves of the Witches). This land is rich in resources and still preserves prehistoric remains, as well as culinary traditions that are enhanced by the summer festivals and tasty dishes such as the stockfish with beans of Torza.
