A set of small villages between Fontanabuona valley and Cicana valley in the Lavagna hinterland. The name reveals its origin, San Colombano Monastery, founded by the Benedictine monks. Discover ancient churches, remains of rural houses and a typical humpback bridge, then follow the paths that go up to the highest peaks of the valleys. Among wonderful views, you can enjoy the flavours of the local products from the “poor” agriculture. Enjoy the soft fruits (chestnuts, hazelnuts) and cheese and do not miss the food events such as the festival of “carne alla ciappa”, meat cooked on slate sheets and an important event on crafts, food and local jobs
